An email to YYGS: It solidified my dreams of working in international diplomacy, but moreover it provided me with memories and friends that I will never forget.

An email to YYGS:
The other day I saw an advertisement on my Facebook for YYGS, promising friendships that you will never forget. This really touched me, as I met my best friend through YYGS. Over a year after the program, we live on opposite ends of the US, but we visit each other every month and never stop talking. Still, it's both of our dreams to end up at Yale together. I keep in touch with everyone I spent time at YYGS from my family group, seminars, and capstone group. This summer I went traveling in Europe, staying at the houses of my friends from the program in Brussels and London. I even traveled to Portland, Oregon to attend the small wedding of my family group leader, Debdeep Nath, who I still look up to like a father. I just wanted to write you this email to tell you how thankful I am for everything that YYGS taught me. It solidified my dreams of working in international diplomacy, but moreover it provided me with memories and friends that I will never forget.
